We instill a safety environment and attitude in all of the work we do, with the premise that any job can and will be performed safely and correctly on the first attempt and on time. All Extreme Plastics Plus employees are trained and certified in PEC/SafeLandUSA. We have an “A” grade, or green status, with over 30 customers on ISNetworld, and are registered with PEC and PICS.
Each employee is aware that they have the right and responsibility to stop any unsafe act or situation. A Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) program involving hazard identification and near miss reporting is in place and being utilized. This mindset and attitude towards safety make EPP the oilfield environmental containment solutions industry leader in safety and performance. Our goal is to make safety the control, not the variable.
New hires will obtain PEC/SafeLandUSA training and should proceed to obtain the following per OSHA guidelines:
- Confined space training
- Certified equipment operator
- Site specific training and customer specific training
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Fall arrest system
- Hazard Communication (Hazcom)
- First Aid/CPR
Extreme Plastics Plus also employs team members who are Certified Rigging Inspectors through the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO). All of our liner installers are certified welders at the master or technician level. Extreme Plastics Plus establishes its safety protocol by taking the most stringent and demanding safety standards in the oil and natural gas industry and adopting them as daily practice. This allows us to work anywhere knowing that we are safe and compliant with our customers’ expectations.
A few of our safety policies include:
- Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Holding daily and monthly safety meetings
- Conducting Job Safety Analyses (JSA)
- Enforcing Stop Work Authority (SWA)
Our fully implemented drug and alcohol policy has a zero tolerance status. Extreme Plastics Plus utilizes both non-DOT and DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) parameters for this policy. Categories of testing include: pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, and return to duty. We take great pride in our safety program and the progression of safety culture, for the betterment of each employee, the customer, and our internal success.
