Extreme assurance; Chief® steel wall strong.
All of the secondary steel wall containment systems at Extreme Plastics Plus serve as precautionary containment measures in the event of fluid spillage and are placed above ground. Our systems are quality controlled and quality assured to meet the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards. These structures come in a variety of shapes and dimensions, which provide options for a wide array of project needs. Each system is calculated and designed to match the required containment capacity. EPP ensures we will obtain and safely install the proper fit of a secondary steel wall containment system for your project.

- Professional installation
- Top quality materials (high grade G-115 galvanized steel)
- Low maintenance
- OSHA approved crossovers
Chief Agri/lndustrial Division combines precision engineering with wall panels of high grade G-115 galvanized steel to produce dependable, quick-to-install secondary containment systems that exceed all environmental guidelines and withstand the harshest conditions associated with oil and natural gas. Our secondary steel wall containment systems are available in circle, oval, square, and rectangle configurations. Customized configurations such as L-shapes are also available. Precision matching and use of top grade materials ensure low maintenance. Secondary Chief® steel wall containment systems can be easily expanded, contracted, or dismantled to move from site to site.
Engineered to provide ultimate protection against leaks or spills.
- Wall panels of G-115 galvanized corrugated steel for corrosion resistance
- Wall panels are precision-cut and hole-punched for fast and accurate bolt assembly
- Optional powder-coated wall panels for extreme rust and corrosion resistance
- Anchor posts connect easily to wall panels and add exceptional strength
- Uniquely engineered to accommodate thermal expansion and contraction caused by frost
- Fitted with special washers to allow wall panels to shift vertically and horizontally
- A sealant strip assembly guards against premature rusting by preventing moisture from forming
- 45-degree angled corner connections reduce tears
- Poly liner is securely installed with 10' top liner clamps
- The 6-gallon load line container protects against leakage as liquids are pumped into and out of the primary containers
- 2,000 lbs capacity pipe stands support up to 8" and up to 1 2"
Aside from using polyethylene for environmental lining, Extreme Plastics Plus also installs our original Spray Guard Liner.
Spray Guard Liner is a polyurea protective spray-on liner for steel and concrete fluid containment. It is available in four application series: 1000, 2000, 3000, and 4000, which can be pre-sprayed or applied on site. This product is a flexible, aromatic, two-component spray that is used mostly on secondary containment systems.
Spray Guard is administered through Extreme Plastic Plus’s mobile spray unit. Our mobile is state-of-the-art, enabling optimal monitoring of the spray operation, and is fully equipped to comply with all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
Spray Guard comes in the 1000, 2000, 3000, and 4000 series applications.
The 1000 series is applied to geotextile rolls, portable spill containment liners, and in-field seaming of mats. With a Shore A 87 hardness, over 2700 PSI tensile strength, 450% elongation, and tear strength of 570 PLI, this series has a proven formula for successful secondary containment.
The 2000 series provides similar protection to the 1000 for applications over geotextiles fabrics, but is ideally suited for colder weather seen in the winter months in the Marcellus/Utica Shale in PA, WV, and OH areas. With a Shore A 92 hardness, 2200 PSI tensile strength, 280% elongation, and tear strength of 210 PLI, this series has been successful in -5F without becoming brittle or cracked.
The 3000 series is made from a thermoplastic, closed-cell, lightweight, rigid-foam plastic called Expanded Polystyrene (EPS). Because of its low thermal conductivity and excellent shock absorption qualities, this series is ideal for tank pad coating. The series has a Shore D 57 hardness, 4000 PSI tensile strength, 250% elongation, and a tear strength of 400 PLI. It is sprayed to encapsulate the foam pads so that no petrochemicals can get inside to attack the foam tank pad. It also provides cushion for the tank to rest upon.
The 4000 series has a high solid, self-priming, direct-to-metal aliphatic polyurethane exterior coating. It is used on above ground storage tanks and secondary steel wall containment systems. It cures quickly in colder environments and is applied on the exterior walls, usually in accordance with 1000 on the interiors.
Additional Spray Guard components include:
Steel Primer Fast Cure
Fast Cure Polyurethane Steel Primer provides an excellent barrier protection against corrosion and provides very high bond strength, even on marginally prepared steel. Applications can be on the bases of above ground steel storage tanks and is most commonly applied to ring wall containment systems to allow 1000 and 2000 to adhere properly.
CP is a 100% solid two component, epoxy concrete primer. It can be brushed, rolled, or sprayed applied. CP is mixed 2:1 by ratio and has a 40-minute pot life. It should be applied at 3-6 mils and will form a strong bond with a fast set polyurethane/polyurea such as 1000 or 2000 over concrete. Typical uses are on concrete tank bases, burn off stacks, and other equipment in the tank batteries that must have concrete to support the weight of the structures.
Spray Guard Patch
Patch repair compound is formulated for making repairs to small holes, tears, or gouges in a sprayed poly liner in the field. A specialized heated, high-pressure spray machine is NOT needed to apply this product. It has also been used as a flexible compound that allows you to smooth out rough spots on polyurethane tank pads prior to spray encapsulating the part.
